My guess -- ~ 40 Amps. If there is a breaker installed in the + wire, that can also give you a clue. Actual maximum current draw will be 10-20% less than the breaker rating.

Nope depends on volts too. The Endura 40 is 42 Maximum Amp Draw that at 100% power. the Endura 45 and 50 also are 42 Max Amp Draw. 80 pound draws 56 amps on 24 volt system and a 101 draws 46 but is 36 volt system.

What I am trying to figure out is how far I can go on one charge of the battery. I have a 2 man basshunter boat and want to fish the lakes up at LBJ and they are pretty good size.

My battery is a new glass mat type that is rated...

120 reserve charge

55 amp hour @ 20 hr

Getting more thrust with same Max Amp Draw will allow you to run at a slower speed setting and go the same speed on the water which will use less amps and increase the time on the water. So the Endura 40, 45, and 55 are all 42 MAX Amp Draw so the 55# will be the most efficient.

I understand, how long do you think I have with that battery if I run wide open on flat water?

(I had that 40 in the garage catching dust.)

55ah @ 20 is the time at 20 Amp Draw so your looking at the 20 hour range at 40 amp draw.
